Yamabiko is a limited express bus service run by Kyushu Sanko Bus and Oita Bus that joins Kumamoto City of Kumamoto Prefecture and Oita City of Oita Prefecture. It takes about 2 hours from Kumamoto City to JR Aso Station, and makes 8 round trips, 16 single trips a day.

Make a reservation for the bus through phone, Internet (computer/smartphone), or at a convenience store. Reservation and purchases are available one month before the date that you will board the bus.
*When making a reservation over the Internet, please note that you will not be able to reserve a specific seat.
On the day that you use the service, apply for the issue of your bus boarding certificate at the Sanko Bus Aso Office Counter inside JR Aso Station after getting off the bus.
*To get the cashback, you are required to have the boarding certificate, so please do not forget to apply for it.
Present the bus boarding certificate to the reception when checking in at the lodging facility, which should participating in this promotion.
After checking the bus boarding certificate, please receive the cashback from the lodging facility.
